Content & User Experience workshop

We live in interesting times. Content Strategy, Information Architecture and User Experience Design continue to grow and offer new ideas and tools to solve problems and create amazing results. Although each discipline has processes and methods to share their findings that are unique, there are common goals and possibilities for taking advantage of the overlaps and connections between them. Blending these approaches and outputs can foster tighter collaboration and create great work, not to mention save time and effort.
- In this workshop we’ll explore opportunities to combine methods and goals – starting with Content Strategy and Information Architecture.
- We’ll look at the benefits and drawbacks to the approach, noting when it can provide a benefit and when it might not be an ideal choice.
- We’ll look at how to adapt common work products and deliverables from each discipline.
- Beyond the work products we’ll talk about how teams can use this approach to jump-start collaboration within (and across) partners in other disciplines as well as approaches for “teams of one.”
The primary focus will be on bringing the approach to life via blended personas and user flows, but we’ll talk about other design documents as well. Examples and templates will be made available for all participants to download, experiment with and fit to their needs and goals. Participants are welcome to bring real-world examples from their own work to walk through and discuss. This workshop is led by Boon Sheridan.
